Comedy Night - Sunday 28th April Standard Ticket

Join us for an evening of jam-packed laughs at the Tan Hill Inn Comedy Night.

Opening the show we have the fabulous Mike Newall!

Storytelling comes easy and the laughs are sharp…off-beat surreal and clever observations THE EDINBURGH REPORTER

Perfectly crafted … Pin sharp, his control is deft and his hair is immaculate. THE SCOTSMAN

Well-crafted jokes, great call-backs and a wonderfully dry delivery. THREE WEEKS

Local Stockport lad, now based in Manchester, Mike Newall is a charming and laid-back comedian with well-crafted jokes and a wonderful dry delivery. This is observational comedy at its best with razor sharp timing combined with a keen sense of dark sarcasm.

He most recently appeared on Britain’s Got Talent where he impressed the judges so much that Simon Cowell said..it was like an Oasis concert where the music ran out and Liam decides to tell a few jokes!

In 2010 he performed his first Edinburgh Fringe Show Mr Famous followed in 2011 with his show Mike Newall’s Get Better Box

That same year he headlined the prestigious Big Value Comedy early show then returned in 2013 with his show Six Weddings.

In 2013 he was personally asked to be the support act for Alun Cochrane’s 2012-2013 Moments of Alun tour.

In 2016 & 2017 Mike took two more shows to the Fringe; High on Gravy and Desert Boot-leg Island Disks.

In 2019 his brand new Edinburgh show titled Mike Newall: Re:Newall received rave reviews.

Manchester has had more than its fair share of comedy heritage over the years, he is without doubt the latest smooth talking, globetrotting Manc export and could even go on to become the greatest. Mike has that rare knack of being like the boy the next door but with huge star quality. He’s like your best, most humorous friend – only funnier!

Closing the show will be the amazing Lost Voice Guy

Britain’s got talent indeed! ★★★★★ METRO

Laugh-out loud funny. ★★★★ THE INDEPENDENT

Ingenious. ★★★★ THE TIMES

You are really, really, really funny.. when you’ve got it, you’ve got it! SIMON COWELL

Lee Ridley aka Lost Voice Guy may not be able to talk, but he definitely has something to say, and his comedy will leave you speechless. Since making his first stand up performance, Lee has gained quite the reputation for being both very funny and very unique.

At the start of his comedy career he gigged across the country, performing at clubs and small venues and has been tour support for Jason Manford, Ross Noble, Patrick Kielty and Jason Cook.

In 2014 he won the BBC New Comedy Award, however he is best known for becoming the winner of ITV’s highest rated show, Britain’s Got Talent in 2018. He was the first comic ever to win the show. The Newcastle funnyman, whose cerebral palsy affects his ability to speak, uses a voice synthesiser for his act.

Lee’s other credits include his own sitcom Ability (BBC Radio 4), Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), The One Show (BBC One), Breakfast (BBC One), This Morning (ITV), Lorraine (ITV), Britain’s Got More Talent (ITV2), Voice Of The People (BBC Three), BBC At The Edinburgh Festivals (BBC iPlayer), America’s Got Talent: The Champions (NBC), I Just Called To Say… (Sky Arts), Comedy Central At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central UK) and the Last Leg (Channel 4).

He has also performed at the Edinburgh Festival numerous times, Brighton Fringe, Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Leicester Comedy Festival, Nottingham Comedy Festival and Liverpool Comedy Festival.

And to compere the night for us we have the brilliant Tony Vino an excellent comic in his own right he will certainly be providing some laughs between the acts
