Belle's Story

i was imported to the UK when I was 18 months old, my new owner Vanessa, was great even when she could not get close to me for the first 3 weeks I arrived in the UK.
I was a placid dog, you could trust me with a baby or a kitten as I had no bad bones in my body.
my brain however did not work well,
i was scared of everything from the wind to the trees to strange people I did not know.
I learned to trust my new owner and live happily in a small village for 3 years.
then my owner moved to Tan Hill Inn, I loved it and every chance i got my owner was chasing me across the moors at Tan Hill as I did not want to come back to the pub, with strange sounds and smells that scarred me.
unfortunate to me but through running about on the moor brought the pain I was in to the maximum level.
My owner took me to the vet, were I had am xray and was diagnosed with severe spinal problems.
i was referred to a specialist in Surrey known as the super vet
After speaking with the super vet my owner (my mum ( realised that a ยฃ12,000 pound operation would not guarantee a full recovery..
So my owner took me back home were I knew and loved then took me to this strange place were they put a needle in my leg.
I felt fine as my owner was cuddling ,me, then I sprang into dogie heaven.
My owner has a nutty friend who is a criminal lawyer, he has said if my owner runs down the track from Tan Hill tomorrow in the snow in her underwear he will pay for a maremma sheep dog statue, outside Tan Hill. ( if Louise Tan Hill Owner allows)
So my owner Vanessa who is very prudish is going to do it tomorrow, what she does not know is that I will be by her side every step of the way.
R.I.P Belle

Tiring Day today, full pub clean as could be.
7 rooms all ready for new guests, although I have had to give my helper her p45.

Detox going well, but the Red Wine is looking at me !!!
Looking out of the window at the snow falling I am not getting out of this pub anytime soon.
Bliss !!

Due to weather conditions and more severe weather coming in Tan Hill will close at 7pm this evening and re open at 8am.
We have made this decision, to discourage any more people coming up to Tan Hill and getting stuck in the snow or coming off the road in a ditch.
See you all tomorrow, hopefully in safe travel conditions.
